Ingredients

  • 1 (5 or 6-ounce) can tuna fish – drained

  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise

  • 1/3 cup cottage cheese

  • 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion

  • 1/2 cup chopped celery stalk

  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

  • 1 tablespoon capers

  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

  • Optional Servings: Lettuce and sliced tomatoes

  • 2 slices bread – lightly toasted

instructions

  • In a medium bowl, combine all of the ingredients till mixed.
  • Serve tuna salad on toast, both open faced, or in a regular sandwich with lettuce and tomatoes, or or chill till serving. For a low carb choice, serve on sliced lettuce.
